The panel is an active matrix, in which «a certain type of holisteric liquid crystals». The screen resolution of the prototype is 320 x RGB x 240 pixels. The maximum number of displayable colors is equal to 64. The reflective properties of the panel, according to published data, no more than 10%, and response time – less than 25ms.
The prototype needs to be refined as «electronic paper» and as videodisplay too. The approach chosen by the South Korean company may be fruitful, as currently used e-paper displays are limited to displaying static information that narrows the scope of their application.

Samsung said in this area is to trust to the extent that the company is not the first year, retains the title of the world’s largest manufacturer of flash memory. With regard to the above questions, we hope that the answers to them do not make us wait to long. The first model of NX series should appear on the market in the second half of this year.

Wireless connection is provided by integrated  adapters 802.11b / g and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, wired – Ethernet 10/100 Mbps. Application of  six cells battery allows the use of a laptop battery for a long time – according to published estimates, it can reach up to 6.5 hours. 

 
The mini-notebook can be equipped with ordinary hard drive or solid-state drive. The amount of RAM is 1 GB. A set of options is made up of web-resolution 1.3 MP camera, «3-in-1» cardreader and three USB ports.
Weight of the mini-notebook is only 1.52 kg, dimensions – 292,4 x 217 x 30,7 mm. The computer will be supplied with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operating system.
