The first 32-nanometer AMD processors will not be Orochi

Although AMD, according to recent reports, deferred the release of the first 32-nanometer processors on an earlier date, the output will not be synchronized with the debut of the new architecture. 32-nanometer processors, which will not be released in 2011, but in 2010, would not the first «bulldozers» (the code name of the new generation architecture – Bulldozer), but the current generation of products to be carried over to more advanced manufacturing process. 

The first samples of Bulldozer processors with support for a set of commands SSE5 must also appear at the end of the next year, and serial production will be launched no earlier than 2011. 

In 2007, when the first details of Bulldozer were announced, AMD had hoped to release the first model of the new architecture in 2009 with the observance of 45 nm. Later the plan was modified because it was decided to use a more advanced 32-nanometer production methods of new processors. First Bulldozer, which is code-named Orochi, is the successor of Deneb. He will have more than four cores, an integrated DDR3 memory controller and more than 8 MB of third level cache memory.
